This article explains how to properly create and sell charity gift cards without affecting the register balance. This process is useful when the manual gift card functionality is disabled or restricted in coreSTORE, and you want to ensure the cash register remains balanced at the end of the day.

Important Notes:

1. Gift Card functionality has been limited, and creating gift cards requires a sale transaction process.

2. Avoid using cash or other real payment types when creating charity gift cards; instead, use a custom payment type.

3. Proper permission settings and a custom payment type ensure the register does not become short
